Cause and Effect
Cause and Effect
With your table group, you will be watching a Direct TV commercial that has MANY examples of cause and effect.
Using the graphic organizer, fill in each separate cause and effect from your commercial. We will share out in the next class.
When your group finishes watching the commercial and filling out the organizer, get a new organizer to fill out about cause and effect from Joey Pigza Swallowed the Key.

Instructions for Tuesday, March 3rd
Today in class you are going to be reading a narrative nonfiction article. You have the option to listen to the article as you read along, which is why we are in the computer lab.
Here are your instructions:
1.) Click on the following link to take you to the Scope website. Scholastic Scope Article
2.) Once you are there, click on the red button (on the right side) that says, "Student Sign In".
3.) Type in RWLab56 (exactly the way I have it).
4.) Scroll down to the "Narrative Nonfiction" section that is purple, and find the article, "Your Phone Could Ruin Your Life".
5.) Click on “read” to get the online copy of the article. Then "listen" to have the story read. You must follow along with the article as you read. And you must use headphones.
6.) Once you have read the article, complete the activity titled, “Your Phone Could Ruin Your Life” Quiz. This includes all the multiple choice and ONE of the constructed responses. Choose either 7 or 8 and write it on the back of the paper.
You may look back in the reading for help as you answer the questions.
