Tomorrow, November 11th, is Veterans' Day. We have the day off from school, and it's important that you realize why. To understand why the day is celebrated, you will be reading an article and answering questions. There is also a short video that goes along with the article that you should definitely watch.
Learning Target: I can read a nonfiction article for understanding.
Task:
1.) Click on the following link to bring you to the article. Honoring Those Who Have Served
2.) Scroll to the bottom to preview the questions. This will help you know what to look for as you read.
3.) Read the article and watch the video clip (use headphones).
4.) Answer the questions at the bottom on a piece of lined paper. To receive full credit, you MUST answer in complete sentences and answer every part of each question.

5.) When you finish, hand in your questions and settle into your independent reading.
